Blane Ghillies have a cemented leather sole for more formal occasions.  These ghillies also have a slightly lower profile than ghillie brogues with a synthetic sole.  We have found that the fit of the Blane model is slightly narrower than other brogues; at the same time, the Blane range of ghillies goes the highest, up to a size 17 US.
